Maintenance Controller
Full-time
Location: In person
STP Hangar, St. Paul, MN
Basic Function:
-
Responsible for the daily coordination with Operations Control Center and Maintenance as required to support accomplishment of the flight schedule.

Responsible for developing and maintaining plans needed to accurately forecast future scheduled maintenance activities for all EMB-170 aircraft in the Company's fleet.

Reports to the DOM.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Take an active role in promoting positive attitudes toward compliance and safety.
-
Maintain a functional Maintenance Control Center process in coordination with the Company's manuals.

Responsible for the submission of the Mechanical Interruption Summaries to the CI.
-
Monitor aircraft maintenance operations and provide technical assistance to ensure all repairs are completed in accordance with Company manuals/procedures, OEM manuals, Federal Aviation Regulations and maintain safety and on- time operation of flight operations.

Maintain continuous liaison with Flight Follower(s), providing current and continuing reports of the general mechanical status of the entire fleet and coordinating maintenance requirements during irregular operations to minimize extra costs and disruptions.

Make sure of the timely repair of all aircraft with a repetitive history, soliciting or requesting any additional technical information necessary, and directing actions to be taken to minimize cost and unnecessary part replacement.

Notify appropriate management personnel in the event of an incident or accident, in accordance with instructions in the ERP.

Notify the DOM of any situation or practice not within Maintenance Manual requirements that could compromise safety or add unnecessary costs to the Maintenance department.

Research, maintain data, and monitor trends concerning aircraft maintenance, labor hours, span time, and other requirements.

Monitor provider turnaround time performance and coordinate shipments to and from providers.

Track all maintenance deferrals pertaining to Line Maintenance operations on the EMB-170, including the tracking of parts required. Coordinate with OCC on the accomplishment of maintenance deferrals and maintenance of follow-up items affecting the daily workload.

Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications:
-
Hold a current valid A&P license for at least two years.
-
Have one year of experience in a position responsible for returning airplanes to service, preferably on EMB-170.
-
Have at least one year of experience maintaining aircraft under a 121/135 (10 or more) airline or Repair Station certificate in the same category and class airplane as used by BJI.
-
Must be thoroughly familiar with manufacturer's maintenance manual systems and be able to use and understand FAA Regulations and Company publications.
